    The cultural tourism management development : a case study of paying homage 9 temple

    Abstract
    The objective of this research is to study the demographic characteristics, attitudes, perceptions and life styles which influence the Buddhist tourism behaviors of Thai and Foreign travelers in Rattanakosin Island Bangkok. The sampling consists of 400 tourists the method used for data collection is questionnaire. The analysis of data collected is undertaken by statistical calculations based on percentage, mean, standard deviation and pearson’s correlation coefficient. The findings suggested that most of the questionnaire respondents were Buddhism Tourists of Thai nationality rather than foreign nationalities, female gender was in bigger number than male gender and most of them were Buddhist by religion. Age range was 25-34 years, marital status was single, highest education level was bachelor degree. As for profession, employees in the private sector was the highest rate, followed by government officials/government enterprises employees. The average monthly income was ranging from Baht 5,001-15,000. riends/colleagues were rated highest for the sources of data. Necessary tour data gathering was required only at the time to make tour plan. The most preferable location for relaxation was home. The most interested hobbies were watching TV/music listening /internet/computer. most respondents believed that preservation and education on national work of art was the necessary issue. The highest rate of spiritual religious practice taken by most tourists was paying respect to the monks and merit making at the temples. the highest rate of traveling mode was by bus. Most tourists had no previous experiences of Rattanakosin Island tourism. most were accompanied by friends/family members. One full day trip without overnight stay ranked highest level. Expenditure was less than Baht 1,000 per each trip. the most favorite tourists attraction site was the Emerald Buddha temple. Main activity during the tour was admiration of beauty of architecture and unique work of art of the temple. the attitude of the tourists on the general environment of Rattanakosin Island was rated at very good level. the advantages and the consequences of the trip were ranging from relaxation and stress release, mental health improvement, mental serenity. the factors which influenced different tourism behaviors were categorized of following aspects 1. Method of tourism data acquisition based on nationality, profession and income. 2. Tour provocation, based on age and income. 3. Number of trips taken. Based on nationality, gender, age, marital status, profession and income. 4. Traveling modes, based on gender, age, profession and income. 5. trip duration, based on nationality, education level, profession and income. 6. accommodation based on age, education level and profession. 7. Budget based on nationality, age, marital status, education level, profession and income.
