    Abstract
    The aim of this research is to review the environmental management, to analyze the potential of sustainable management and to develop the strategies for developing the sustainable management of at Wat Takien Floating Market. The research is conducted at Wat Takien Floating Market, Bangkuvieng subdistrict, Bangkruay district in Nonthaburi Province with twenty local authorities including Temple abbot, members of the Temple committee and market manager via observations, interviews and questionnaires by using Descriptive Analysis, Means, Standard Deviations, Factor Analysis and Canonical Correlation Analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Not far from Bangkok, Wat Takien Floating Market is located inside Wat Takien temple area with a nice natural view across the canal. The community around the market have been well corporating with the temple. Visitors can enjoy shoping local product, learning local traditional, sightseeing temple architecture and making merit at the same time. The floating market is mostly manage by the market manager. In some point, the management system is found not to be well arranged. To facilitate a lot of visitors, plenty of toilets and many alternativers parking space will be provided. The products inside the market seems to be well known by serveral media. 2. The potential of sustainable management of Wat Takien Floating Market come from variety of strength and opportunity factors. The opportunity elements includes currect economic circumstance, community around the market, local houses along the canal side, Bangkuvieng Canal geography, while the strength factors composed of temple policies, the way market mananger managing, the participation of each members, temple architecture, inland walkway, live Thai classical music band, and a resonable price of local product. 3. The strategies for developing the sustainable management of Wat Takien Floating Market can be classified as follow; Strategy for developing the floating market along with Buddhist traditional, Strategy of setting reasonable price for local goods and Strategy of boat trip activity. The suggestions were that the Wat Takien Floating market can be a lot improved by using the strategies for developing the sustainable management. In particular, it can be done by rearranging the organization structure, raising the corporate networks, developing the market management systematically, expanding an advertising channel, Instralling the market banner to draw visitor attention, improving the walkway along the canal side, releasing regulations for on-boat food vendors, promoting local dishes that can be found in a market, hosting a fair and activity that related to Buddhist traditional, providing boat trip activity, creating social responsibility and environmental friendly activity along the canal side.
