Analysis of social concept in songs of people’s alliance for democracy

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the social reflection which concerned with the contents in songs of people’s Alliance for Democracy. 2) to study the social reflection which concerned with wording and rhetoric styles in songs of people’s Alliance for Democracy and 3) to publicize the social reflection appeared in contents of songs of people’s Alliance for Democracy ; Which was a qualitative research. The samples used in this research were songs of people’s Alliance for Democracy which were song on people’s Alliance stage all through 193 days, and were written during their assembly. The researchers used the samples from secondary cell data ; such as song books, CDs , songs and many other websites totally 177 songs by using purposive Sampling. The instrument used in this research were formal and informal in depth interview, focus group seminar, workshop, and questionnaires. The content analysis, the descriptive analysis, mean ( X ), and standard deviation were used as research instruments. The findings were aw follow: 1. The study of social reflection which concerned the contents in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy were: It was found that the study of social reflection of the contents in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy which were song on stage through 193 assemble days and were written during their assembly had totally 177 songs. When considering from each case the number one songs were 82 arousing songs, followed by 55 political sarcastic songs. There were 37 praising songs, and 3 presenting ideal songs. The details were as follow: 1. The arousal issue The study of social reflection which concerned the contents in 82 ox rousing of people’s Alliance for Democracy considering from each side found that the number one issue was 45 harmony songs; followed by 37 giving morale to the assemble ; songs. 2. Social sarcastic issue The study of social reflection which concerned contents in songs of People’s Alliance for Demo cracy on social sarcastic issue found that there were totally 55 songs when considering from each side, the number one was political sarcastic ; 34 songs, followed by general social sarcastic ; and government sarcastic, 5 songs. 3. Praising issue The study of social reflection which concerned the contents in songs of people’s Alliance for Democracy on praising issue found that there were totally 37 songs. When considering from each side, the number one was praising the arousers ; 30 songs, followed by praising the assembly leaders, 4 songs, and praising the nation, religion and the king ; 3 songs. 4. Presenting the ideal issue The study of social reflation which concerned the contents in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy on presenting ideal issue found that there were totally 3 songs. 2. The study of social reflection concerned with wording rhetoric style in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy concluded: that: 2.1 The study of social reflection concerned with wording in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy concluded that. The study of social reflection which concerned the wording used in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy showed that the songs which were song on stage and written during 193 days assembly, totally had 98 songs , when considering from each issue, the number one was repetition words; 26 songs, followed by using rude words; 18 songs, using words arousing Feelings; 14 songs, using repletion words ; 9 songs, using local language ; 8 songs, using rhym ; 4 songs, using slang ; different words, short forms and reduced word ; 3 songs each, using foreign language ; 2 songs, using imitation sound words ; 1 songs, but using similar words were not found in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy. 2.2 The study of social reflection which concerned the phraseology styles in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy showed that 90 songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy which were sung on stage for 193 songs were written during their assembly. When considering from each issue, it was found that the number one songs using metaphor were 15 songs, followed by songs simile ; 14 song using rhetoric ; 13 songs, using hype bole ; 12 songs, using metonymy and phraseology 8 songs each, using incitation 7 songs , using oxymoron ; 5 songs using paradox ; 4 songs, and using personification and using synecdoche ; 2 songs each. But using axiom rhetoric style was not was not found in songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy. 3. The result of publicizing the social reflection on songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy by using contentment inquiring questionnaire towards publicized form of social reflation appeared in the contents of songs ; The study on songs of People’s Alliance for Democracy showed that 3.1 On the publicized form found that the overall was good when considering from each item, there were 3very good items; the easy – using, the easy – difficult keeping and the appropriate ness of sizes and form. There were 2 good items which were modern and interesting items. 3.2 On content issue , it was found that the overall was good. When considering from each item, 4 very good items were that reliable information, accuracy of language used, clear – cut and easy – to – understand contents and the consequences and congruence of content and 1 good item was the meticulous content. 3.3 on benefit and usage issue ; it was found that the overall was very good. When considering from each item, the 4 very good items were the understanding towards Thai society, applying knowledge in today – Thai society, Knowledge, understanding how to use words and understanding how to use rhetoric words were 1 good items using learning sound reference sources.
