Researches for New Entrepreneur Creation : Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon - University Business Incubators

Abstract

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon has gained support from the Commission on Higher Education to set up a business incubators unit, called Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon - University Business Incubators, or RMUTP-UBI. The agency has a principal missihon in creating new potential entrepreneurs by utilizing results of research works, inventions, innovations, and technology of the university. The agency๛s main aim is to get income for oneself, for the university, and for the country as a whole; as well as to provide information service and consultation to users both inside and outside the university. In 2007, the RMUTP-UBI had incubated 10 entrepreneurs. Among these, 2 were start-up companies, 3 were incubatees, and 5 were pre-incubatees. It also conducted public relations, visiting tours, trainings, setting up activity groups of students and entrepreneurs, and providing academic services to meet the goal of the project.
