    Development of reused oasis clay for banana leaf products

    Abstract
    This research was aimed to 1) To development of reused oasis clay formula suitable for banana leaf products, 2) To study the optimum heating time in microwave oven, 3) The reused oasis clay of the best tested was used for creating banana leaf product, and 4) survey the experts’ satisfaction of the reused oasis clay and the consumers’ satisfaction of the product In this study, 5 reused oasis clay formulas were developed. From these, one were selected and heat of clay in microwave at time 3, 8, 13 and 18 seconds. The properties of reused oasis clay were tested by 5 experts. The reused oasis clay of the best tested was used for creating banana leaf product. Then the consumers’ satisfaction of the reused oasis clay for banana leaf products was collected from 120 customers in clay products shop or banana leaf products of Bangkok and suburban area by means of random sampling, and the data were statistically analyzed in terms of percentage, mean, and standard deviation. It was found that the reused oasis clay of the best formula and the optimum heating time in microwave oven was formula at 4 and heating time in microwave oven established were 8 seconds. The properties of reused oasis clay suitable for creating banana leaf product. The experts’ satisfaction of the best reused oasis clay was at ( x = 4.71, S.D. = .169). The consumers’ satisfaction of the reused oasis clay for banana leaf products was at the high level of ( x = 4.20, S.D. = .182).
