The costume design project inspired from parallel universe

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to design a collection which is inspired from Parallel Universe, and to study about the aesthetic to crate Wabi Sabi art in Chanoyu for design clothes which is reduced the over-detail expose the beautiful of natural, over the imperfect and would like to present the campaign of attending into the natural and sufficiency of life, avoiding from objects and technologies. The method used in the study is descriptive analysis tool. Analyzed from “Another Earth” movie and equipments of Chanoyu amount 6 pictures by divvied into 3 parts which are, emphasized the physical and overall detail to use the idea to create clothes by used darts on elastic fabric, deconstruction with thick fabric and also shiny fabric which represent to Multiversity and Vabi Sabi art in Chanoyu which is quite simply , austere , mystery and calm by used dark color to enhanced the unambitiously. In conclusion, this project can be reflect and remind people to give more attention with natural, not too adhere with objects and learn that underneath of beautiful is our mind and natural not the thing that made form machine or technology. In reality, beautiful doesn’t mean the equal form only, but also unperfected form which is the real natural created.
