Adjustable industrial sewing machine chair

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to develop a chair for industrial sewing machines to suit the physiology of industrial machine users. And to study the satisfaction of industrial sewing machine users with adjustable chairs. The representative sample was student in Industrial Textile and Fashion Design at RMUTP as 40 samples. By allowing the sample group to sat on the sewing chair for the industrial machine and evaluate it by questionnaire the satisfaction with the use of the adjustable chair for the industrial machine. Statistics were usedfrequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results of the study showed that the satisfaction assessment that affected the adjustable Industrial sewing machine chair. The most useful aspect was the adjustable chair which could be move to as scored as an average of 4. 13 at a high level. The safety of usage is average 3. 98 at a high level. The highest strength was durability and strength while using, with an average of 4.2 in a high level. The highest material aspect was that the strong structure with an average of 4. 13 at a high level. The most beautiful aspect was the color of the adjustable chair, which was beautiful and suitable, with an average of 3.95 at a high level. And the overall summary of satisfaction was 4. 15, at a high level. Based on the research results, using an industrial sewing machine table with a height of 73 cm and a 3 level adjustable chair was level 1, height 45 cm, level 2, height 48 cm, level 3 height 51 cm. It could be conclude that the level 1 chair was suitable for users with a height of 145-153 cm. The level 2 chair was suitable for users with a height of 154- 161 cm and a level 3 chair suitable for users with a height of 162- 170 cm
