    Knowledge and consumption behavior of food considered risk factor leading to diabetes mellitus (A case study of Rajamangala University of Technology Phranakorn Officials)

    Abstract
    The research aimed to : Study the risk personal data leading to diabetes mellitus. Study knowledge about diabetes mellitus and Study food consumption behavior of Ramamangala University of Teachnology Phranakorn officails. Tests and questionnaires were used to gathe the data from Ramamangala University of Technology Phranakorn officials, academic year 2009 and 217 samples were used following Purposive sampling. The data were analyzed by using percentile, mean and standard deviation. The study found that 1. 55.8% of the sample were female and 23.5% were 36-40 years old, 42.47 were the mean age of the samples. The Mass Body Index 46.5% of the sample were normal and 21.2% had height mass body fat index. In the next 12 years 33.2% had of the sample or 1 in 12 person were at risk of having diabetes mellitus. They were supposed to exercise frequently, keep normal body weights and check blood pressures. 2. 24.3% of the sample had diabetes mellitus knowledge of minimum passing standard. 13.14 points was mean of the sample and 4.72 was the standard deviation. 3. The sample group food consumpion behavior was considered at risk leading to diabetes mellitus at moderate level. 3.31 was the standard deviation.
